Lusail is a futuristic city of the future 23 kilometers north of Doha. Built from scratch on desert coastline, it became the main venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and a symbol of Qatar's ambitions.

Project History

Construction began in 2006 on a 38-square-kilometer site. The city is designed for 450,000 residents with full infrastructure: residential districts, offices, shopping centers, marinas, and golf courses. Investment exceeded $45 billion.
