Katara Cultural Village is the largest cultural center in the Middle East, located between The Pearl and West Bay. The complex combines theaters, galleries, mosques, restaurants, and a beach while preserving traditional Qatari architecture.
History and Mission
Katara opened in 2010 as a cultural heritage preservation project. The name refers to the ancient Greek name for the peninsula. Its mission is promoting Arab culture and intercultural dialogue. International festivals, exhibitions, and concerts are held here.
