How to Get There

Take MTR to Kowloon Station (Tung Chung Line), Exit D or J. Or Star Ferry to West Kowloon Pier. The museum is a 10-minute walk.

What to Expect

Nine galleries spanning three floors display imperial treasures from ceramics to calligraphy. Special exhibitions rotate regularly - check for current shows on Mughal treasures and Ancient Egypt. The building itself is a masterpiece with a unique inverted trapezoid design. Rooftop terrace offers harbour views. Book tickets online in advance as popular time slots sell out.

Best Photo Spot

The rooftop terrace offers stunning photos with Victoria Harbour as backdrop. Inside, Gallery 8 has dramatic lighting for artifact photos. The exterior with its unique inverted trapezoid architecture is best photographed from the Art Park promenade at sunset.
