Franconian Brewery Museum
The Franconian Brewery Museum is housed in the historic vaulted cellars of the former Benedictine monastery brewery on Michaelsberg, dating from around 1122-1969. With over 1,300 exhibits spread across 900 square meters, the museum traces the creation of beer from crop to mug. Visitors can view authentic stages of the brewing process including the brewhouse, malthouse, fermentation and storage cellars, ice cellar, cooperage, filtration, barrel filling, and bottling. Founded in 1979 by master brewers passionate about preserving brewing tradition, the museum offers a comprehensive look at Franconian beer culture.
