Koh Lanta is a long island in Krabi province that has preserved its relaxed atmosphere thanks to the absence of an airport. Uncrowded beaches, Muslim fishing villages, mangrove forests, and a national park make it an alternative to overcrowded Phuket.
Island Geography
Lanta consists of two islands (Noi and Yai) connected by a bridge. The tourist island is Lanta Yai, 30 km long. The west coast has beaches, the east has mangroves and fishing villages.
