Moscow Cathedral Mosque is one of Europe's largest mosques and Russia's main Muslim temple. The majestic building in the capital's center can accommodate up to 10,000 worshippers.
History
The first mosque on this site was built in 1904. The new mosque opened in 2015 with blue domes and a 72-meter minaret topped with a crescent.
Visiting
Dress code must be observed: covered clothing, women must cover their heads. Tours can be booked in advance.
How to Get There
Nearest metro is Prospekt Mira. Nearby are Aptekarsky Ogorod and the Cosmonautics Museum.
