WWII Japanese Shipwrecks
Coron Bay is home to one of the world's best wreck diving sites - a fleet of 12 Japanese ships sunk by US air raid on September 24, 1944. Wrecks lie at depths of 10-40 meters, including supply ships, tankers, and a seaplane tender. Famous sites include Okikawa Maru, Irako, and Akitsushima. The warm, clear waters provide excellent visibility for exploring coral-encrusted structures and abundant marine life. Diving certifications range from Open Water for shallow wrecks to Advanced/Deep Diver for penetration dives.
