Wae Rebo Village
Wae Rebo is a remote village at 1,200m elevation in the Flores mountains, UNESCO award winner for cultural heritage preservation. It features seven traditional cone-shaped houses called Mbaru Niang, built from bamboo and palm trunks with thatched roofs reaching up to 15m high. Access requires a 3-4 hour jungle trek. Visitors can stay overnight with local families for an authentic experience.
