Wadi Al-Aqiq
Wadi Al-Aqiq is one of the most famous and sacred valleys of Medina. The Prophet said: 'Al-Aqiq is a blessed valley.' The valley extends approximately 52 km from south of Medina, passes through Dhul Hulaifah, and meets Wadi Bathan near Masjid al-Qiblatain area. In early Islamic times, gardens, farms, and houses of companions lined its banks. The valley houses important archaeological sites including Qasr Urwah and Ottoman remains. Visitors can enjoy serene walks along the river and learn about the valley's historical importance.
