Voldersgracht
Voldersgracht is one of Delft's most charming canals, where the water comes right up to the doorsteps of the historic houses. It is named after the cloth fullers (volders) who historically worked here. The canal is home to the Vermeer Centrum, and the famous painter is believed to have depicted this area in some of his works. Every Saturday the antiques market extends along the canal. At the corner stands the historic Vleeshal (Meat Hall) from 1650.
