Vernal Fall is a stunning 97-meter waterfall on the famous Mist Trail. Named because the spray creates a perpetual springtime atmosphere. The trail to the top (8.8km round trip) is steep with 600+ stone steps and gets very wet from spray in spring - bring rain gear!
Park entrance fee only. Strenuous trail - prepare for stairs and spray. Start early in summer.
May-June for peak flow. Summer for less spray. Start before 8am to avoid crowds and afternoon heat.
