Uros Floating Islands
The Uros Floating Islands are a unique collection of approximately 70 man-made islands on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,812 meters. The Uro people have built these islands from totora reeds for centuries, constantly renewing them as the bottom layers decompose. You can visit traditional homes, watch handicraft demonstrations, and ride traditional reed boats. Located 30 minutes by boat from Puno.
