Tuolumne Meadows is the largest alpine meadow in the Sierra Nevada at 2,627 meters elevation. Surrounded by granite domes and peaks, it offers a completely different experience from Yosemite Valley. The area is a starting point for many hiking trails including the famous John Muir Trail. Limited facilities include a store, grill, and visitor center.
