Terrasse Dufferin
Terrasse Dufferin is a 425-meter wooden boardwalk wrapping around Château Frontenac, perched 60 meters above the St. Lawrence River. Opened to the public in 1838, it was the first public place in North America lit by electric streetlights. The terrace offers sweeping panoramic views of the river, Île d'Orléans, and Pont de Québec. In summer, street performers and artists fill the promenade. In winter, it hosts a famous toboggan run from mid-December to mid-March at $3.50 per ride.
