Stari Most (Old Bridge)
Stari Most is an iconic 16th-century Ottoman architectural masterpiece spanning the emerald Neretva River. Built in 1566 under Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, it was considered the widest man-made arch in the world at the time. Destroyed during the Bosnian War in 1993, it was meticulously reconstructed in 2004 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Local divers leap from 24 meters into the turquoise waters below, continuing a tradition spanning over 450 years that now includes the annual Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series.
