Stari Grad Plain
Stari Grad Plain is a UNESCO World Heritage Site preserving an ancient Greek agricultural land division system (chora) from the 4th century BC that has remained virtually intact for over 2,400 years. The original grid of stone walls, plots for growing grapes and olives, and small stone shelters called trims are still in active use today. The best way to explore it is by bicycle from Stari Grad town toward Vrboska, about 5 km. There are no facilities on the plain itself, but Stari Grad town is just minutes away. Guided cycling and wine tours combining the plain with winery visits are available from about EUR 80 per person, offering both historical context and tastings of wines grown in this ancient landscape
