St Stephen's Square
St Stephen's Square is the largest square in Dalmatia at 4,500 square meters and the vibrant heart of Hvar Town. Built during Venetian rule, it features a Renaissance well from 1520, the baroque Cathedral of St Stephen, and the historic Arsenal building. The square is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and bars, making it an ideal social hub at any time of day. Early morning offers crowd-free photography while evenings pulse with life and activity. The cathedral is worth visiting with a separate ticket at EUR 2, though note that as an active place of worship, visitors must cover shoulders and knees
