Church of St. Mark
The Church of St. Mark is one of the oldest buildings in Zagreb and one of the most photographed landmarks thanks to its unique colorful tiled roof. The left side displays the medieval coat of arms of Croatia, Dalmatia, and Slavonia, while the right shows the emblem of Zagreb. Built in the 13th century in Romanesque style and later rebuilt in Gothic style, it stands on St. Mark's Square between the Croatian Parliament and the Government Palace. The church is open to visitors only during Mass times. Post-earthquake renovation was completed in December 2023 and the church is fully operational
