The Seven Mosques
The Seven Mosques is a complex of six small historic mosques located on the western edge of Mount Sela, linked to the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq) in 627 AD. Each mosque is named after the companion stationed there: Al-Fath, Salman al-Farsi, Abu Bakr, Umar ibn al-Khattab, Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Fatima. Al-Fath Mosque is the largest where the Prophet reportedly prayed during the battle. Despite the name, only six mosques remain today.
