Beautiful Fountain
The Beautiful Fountain is a 14th-century Gothic masterpiece standing in the main market square. Built by Heinrich Beheim between 1385 and 1396, it stands 19 meters high and resembles a Gothic church spire. 40 figures represent philosophy, the liberal arts, the Church, and the Empire. The famous golden ring embedded in the grille is said to grant wishes to those who turn it three times according to legend.
