Santo Domingo Church
Santo Domingo de Guzmán Church is one of Mexico's most magnificent churches, famous for its stunning Baroque interior covered in gold leaf. Built between 1570 and 1608, it features three-dimensional details covering nearly every centimeter of the interior. The adjacent ex-convent now houses the Museum of Oaxacan Cultures containing treasures from Tomb 7 at Monte Albán. The contrast between the simple exterior and opulent interior is striking.
