Basilica di Santa Maria Novella
The Basilica di Santa Maria Novella is Florence's first great basilica, built between the 13th and 15th centuries. It features a stunning marble facade designed by Alberti, magnificent frescoes by Masaccio and Ghirlandaio, and Giotto's wooden crucifix. The complex includes a historic pharmacy operating since the 13th century, one of the oldest in the world.
