Basilica of San Miniato al Monte
San Miniato al Monte is one of Tuscany's finest Romanesque churches, perched on a hill overlooking Florence. Built in the 11th century, it features a stunning green and white marble facade, a rare mosaic floor, and a fresco-decorated altar. The Benedictine monastery is still active and sells honey and herbal teas. The city views from here are arguably better than from Piazzale Michelangelo.
