Sahat Kula (Clock Tower)

The Sahat Kula (Clock Tower) is a 17th-century Ottoman landmark standing 19 meters tall in the heart of Stara Varos, Podgorica old town. Built in 1667, this historic tower served as a timekeeper for the Muslim community, calling the faithful to prayer. The tower has survived centuries of conflict including extensive damage during World War II and has been restored multiple times. Today it remains one of the most important symbols of Ottoman heritage in Montenegro and a distinctive feature of the Podgorica skyline.
