Rothschild Boulevard
Rothschild Boulevard is one of the most important and iconic streets in Tel Aviv, located in the heart of the UNESCO-listed White City. Established over 100 years ago, it was originally named 'the street of the people' before being renamed in honor of Baron Edmond James de Rothschild. The boulevard runs from the Neve Tzedek neighborhood in the south northward through the White City. It features a wide central strip lined with Ficus trees, along with pedestrian and bike lanes. It houses beautiful Bauhaus buildings, modern skyscrapers, major financial institutions, top restaurants, and stylish coffee kiosks. The famous Independence Hall, where Israel's Declaration of Independence was signed in 1948, is located roughly at the street's center.
