Carmel Market
Carmel Market (Shuk HaCarmel) is the largest market in Tel Aviv, established in 1920. It's a vibrant marketplace where traders sell everything from clothing and spices to fruit and electronics. The market runs along one street from the junction of King George Street, Allenby, and Sheinkin Street south to the Carmelit Bus depot. The top end of the market traditionally focuses on fashion and electronics, while the lower part features food and fresh produce stalls. Recent years have seen boutique stalls and food places opening alongside traditional traders, from boutique beers to halva arrays and small eateries taking advantage of the market's produce.
