Qasr Urwah
Qasr Urwah is a restored archaeological site in Wadi al-Aqiq, approximately 3 km west of the Prophet's Mosque. Named after the Tabi'i Urwah ibn Zubair, one of the Seven Jurists of Medina. Discovered and excavated in 2013, it was restored in 2014 by the General Authority for Tourism. The castle was built on a mountain overlooking Wadi al-Aqiq from stones cut from nearby mountains. It features a southern gate and architectural units spread around three courtyards.
