Phi Phi Islands
The Phi Phi Islands are an archipelago of six islands in the Andaman Sea, made famous by the film "The Beach" with DiCaprio. Limestone cliffs, emerald waters, white sandy beaches, and rich marine life create a paradise corner.
The main island Phi Phi Don is the only inhabited one, with hotels, restaurants, and nightlife. Phi Phi Leh is uninhabited and home to the famous Maya Bay (periodically closed for ecosystem recovery).
Popular activities: snorkeling, diving, kayaking, boat tours to surrounding islands. Islands are reached by ferry from Phuket or Krabi (about 2 hours).
