The volcanic hot springs off Palea Kameni island offer a unique swimming experience. Underwater fumaroles heat the water to about 35°C - you can feel the change from cold to warm as you swim. The sulfur-rich water will leave yellow stains on swimwear!
Only accessible via boat tour (€25-50). You swim 50-100m from boat to springs. Bring old swimsuit - sulfur stains it!
Part of volcano boat tours. Swimming ability required. Water shoes recommended for rocky seabed. Best experienced on less crowded tours (early morning or off-season).
