Moscow Cathedral Mosque is one of Europe's largest mosques and Russia's main Muslim temple. The majestic building in the capital's center can accommodate up to 10,000 worshippers and serves as a spiritual center for Muslims from across the country.

History of the Mosque

The first mosque on this site was built in 1904. By the early 21st century, the building had deteriorated, and a decision was made to reconstruct it. The new mosque opened in 2015, preserving the historic section while greatly expanding the area.

Free entry, tours from 350 to 7000 RUB. Head coverings required for all visitors. Bring socks and a bag for shoes. No tours on Fridays — prayer day.

Located near Prospekt Mira. The nearest metro station is Prospekt Mira. 5 minutes walk from the metro. Book groups of 10+ in advance.
