Momijidani Park
A beautiful park in the heart of Miyajima Island featuring approximately 700 maple trees. The name means 'Maple Valley' and the park has been famous for autumn colors since the Edo period - the Hiroshima confection 'Momiji Manju' (maple leaf-shaped cake) was inspired by this park. Located between Itsukushima Shrine and the ropeway station to Mount Misen. The highlight is the vermillion Momiji Bridge, which creates a stunning contrast with the red autumn foliage in mid-to-late November. Free to enter.
