Mitaki-dera Temple
A hidden mountain temple dating back to 809, founded by Kobo Daishi (Kukai). The name means 'Three Waterfalls Temple', referring to the three waterfalls within its grounds. A serene refuge surrounded by nature, featuring moss-covered paths, ancient trees, and traditional halls scattered across the hillside. Known as one of Hiroshima's best autumn foliage spots. Allow 1.5-2 hours for a leisurely exploration. The temple is a 15-minute uphill walk from Mitaki Station.
