Mist Trail is Yosemite's most famous hiking trail, passing by both Vernal and Nevada Falls. Named because hikers walk directly through the spray of the waterfalls. The trail is steep with 600+ granite steps and very slippery when wet. Trail to top of Vernal Fall is 8.8km, to Nevada Fall is 11km.
