Maspalomas Dunes
A 404-hectare protected natural reserve in southern Gran Canaria featuring golden Saharan-style sand dunes, a saltwater lagoon, and unique wildlife. The dunes formed over thousands of years from coral and shell sediment, creating an ever-changing landscape sculpted by the wind. The reserve is home to endemic plant species and serves as an important stopover for migratory birds. Walking across the dunes from Playa del Ingles to the Maspalomas Lighthouse takes about an hour and ranks among the most unforgettable experiences on the island
