Kosciuszko Mound
Kosciuszko Mound is an artificial hill built between 1820 and 1823 to honor Tadeusz Kosciuszko, a Polish-American national hero who led an uprising against Russia in 1794. Rising 326 meters above sea level, it provides a 360-degree panorama of Krakow and on clear days the Tatra Mountains are visible on the horizon. The ticket includes the mound climb, surrounding fort exhibitions, and a wax figure exhibit. Located 3.5 kilometers west of the Old Town, the Austrian fortress built around the mound in the 19th century adds an extra historical layer to the site
