Khao Ngon Nak, also known as Dragon Crest Mountain, is one of the most rewarding hikes in southern Thailand. The 3.8-kilometer trail leads through dense tropical jungle to a stunning viewpoint at the mountain summit. From the peak, breathtaking panoramic views unfold across limestone mountains, rainforest canopy, the Andaman Sea, and distant islands including Koh Phi Phi. The dragon-spine ridge at the top creates dramatic photo opportunities. While challenging due to steep sections and tropical heat, the views make every step worthwhile. Allow 4-5 hours for the round trip.
