Imperial Castle
Nuremberg Imperial Castle is one of the most significant medieval fortifications in Europe. From 1050 to 1571, all Holy Roman Emperors resided here at least temporarily. The impressive complex includes the Palas with its double chapel, the Imperial Castle Museum, Sinwell Tower, and the famous Deep Well. From the tower, breathtaking panoramic views unfold over the red-tiled rooftops of the Old Town. The castle symbolizes the power of the Holy Roman Empire and its cultural heritage.
