L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is the antiques capital of Provence, known as Europe's third-largest antiques market after London and Paris. Built on canals of the Sorgue River, it preserves its historic water wheels and 'Venice of Provence' atmosphere. Six antique villages gather 300 dealers. The weekly markets on Sunday and Thursday fill the old town with colors and aromas. The river runs through the center, with cafes and restaurants along the waterways.
