Hyde Park Sydney
Hyde Park is Australia's oldest public park, established in 1810. Spanning 16 hectares in the heart of the city, it features the famous Archibald Fountain in the north and the solemn ANZAC Memorial in the south. Fig tree-lined avenues provide shade and beauty. A daily ceremony of remembrance is held at 11am at the memorial, where visitors are invited for a minute of silent reflection. The park connects St Mary's Cathedral to the city centre, with specialty gardens including Sandringham and Nagoya Gardens.
