Huayna Picchu
Huayna Picchu is the iconic peak that appears behind Machu Picchu in classic photos. The climb requires a steep 45-60 minute ascent on narrow stone steps carved into the rock. From the 2,693-meter summit, you get the best panoramic view of the ancient city below. Entry is limited to 400 people per day in two time slots. The trail includes the Temple of the Moon, an impressive cave shrine.
