Located in the vaults beneath the Gothic wing of the Town Hall, this museum depicts Rothenburg during the Thirty Years' War and the famous Meistertrunk legend. Twelve vaults display a lansquenet guardroom, fortifications, weapons, and military equipment. Visitors can also see the old State Dungeon where Mayor Heinrich Toppler was imprisoned, including the guardroom, torture chamber, and three prison cells.
