Hiroshima Museum of Art
An art museum housed in a distinctive circular domed building, established by Hiroshima Bank in 1978 to commemorate its 100th anniversary. The collection focuses on Modern European paintings, particularly French Impressionists including works by Monet, Degas, Redon, and Van Gogh, as well as Japanese oil paintings from the Meiji period onward. The central courtyard features a bronze Venus statue by Maillol. Located in Chuo Park near Hiroshima Castle.
