Hejaz Railway Museum
Hejaz Railway Museum is the restored historic Ottoman railway station in Medina. Opened as a museum in 2006, it sits approximately 1 km from the Prophet's Mosque, adjacent to the Anbariya Mosque. Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II ordered construction in 1900, and the first train arrived in Medina on August 28, 1908. The museum displays original locomotives, carriages, and exhibits about the railway history connecting Damascus to Medina. The station features 17 decorative arches, a train shed, and historic buildings including the stationmaster's residence.
