Garden of Salman Al-Farsi is a sacred historical site containing 300 date palms planted by Prophet Muhammad himself to free his companion Salman Al-Farsi from slavery. The price for Salman's freedom was 40 ounces of gold and 300 date palms. The companions helped gather the shoots, and the Prophet planted each one with his own hands, and all thrived. The garden also contains a well with fresh sweet water that visitors can taste and purchase dates from this blessed farm. Located close to Masjid Quba, the privately-owned garden welcomes visitors at all hours.
