Dzibilchaltún
Dzibilchaltún is an ancient Maya site located 17 km north of Mérida, famous for the Temple of the Seven Dolls. During the spring and autumn equinoxes, the sun rises directly through the temple doorways creating a spectacular astronomical phenomenon. The site also features Cenote Xlacah for swimming and a museum displaying Maya artifacts. The site reopened in 2025 with a new visitor center
