Dry season (December to May) for ideal beach conditions. Weekday mornings offer the most serene experience with fewer visitors. High tide is best for swimming; low tide exposes more sand but can be rocky in some areas. Avoid December-February weekends when Filipino families visit for holidays. Sunset time (5:00-6:00 PM) offers beautiful golden light for photography.
From Bohol-Panglao International Airport: 7 km, approximately 15-20 minutes by taxi/tricycle (₱200-300). From Alona Beach: 2 km north, accessible by tricycle (₱50-100) or 20-minute walk along the coastal road. From Tagbilaran City: 20 km, approximately 35-45 minutes. Most tourists rent motorcycles (₱400-500/day) or arrange resort transfers.
A peaceful 1.5 km stretch of fine white sand, less developed than Alona Beach. Gentle, gradual entry into warm, calm waters perfect for families with children. Several upscale resorts with manicured grounds and beachfront facilities. Fewer restaurants and nightlife options compared to Alona - bring snacks if not using resort facilities. Some areas have sea grass at low tide. Sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent at resorts (₱200-400). Excellent for swimming, relaxing, and beach walks. Water sports are limited - for diving and activities, Alona Beach is better equipped.

Dumaluan Beach is quieter, more family-oriented, with upscale resorts and a longer, less crowded beach. Dumaluan has calmer waters with a gentler entry slope, making it better for children. Choose Alona for activities and socializing; Dumaluan for relaxation and families.
