Dizengoff Street and Center
Dizengoff Street is one of Tel Aviv's longest and busiest streets, serving as a major hub for culture, entertainment, and shopping. Named after the city's first mayor, Meir Dizengoff, it stretches from Arlozorov Street in the north to Allenby Street in the south, running through the heart of the city near the beach. The street is famous for its vibrant cafe scene, diverse shops ranging from designer boutiques to international brands, and bustling nightlife with bars and pubs. Dizengoff Center, located at 50 Dizengoff Street, is Israel's first shopping mall, opened in 1983. It houses over 400 stores, restaurants, cinemas, gyms, an indoor pool, and theater. On Thursdays and Fridays, the lower level hosts a designers' fair with clothing and jewelry from dozens of local designers. Dizengoff Square, renovated in 2016, features a unique fire-and-water fountain by Nahum Gutman, making it a cultural landmark and meeting point for locals and tourists exploring Tel Aviv's urban culture.
