An arch-shaped memorial containing the names of all atomic bomb victims. Designed by architect Kenzo Tange and unveiled on August 6, 1952, the structure frames the Peace Flame and Atomic Bomb Dome in the background. The stone chest beneath the arch holds the Register of Deceased, which is updated annually. The inscription reads: 'Let all the souls here rest in peace, for we shall not repeat the evil.'
