Benesse House Museum
Benesse House Museum is a unique complex combining hotel and museum, designed by Tadao Ando in 1992. It spans four buildings: Museum, Oval, Park, and Beach, where guests can sleep surrounded by artworks. The museum houses works by international artists including Selman, Polke, and Keith Haring, with outdoor sculptures overlooking the sea. The outdoor sculpture park offers stunning island views. Hotel guests enjoy free 24-hour access to the museum, while day visitors need tickets. The Oval building, accessible only to staying guests via monorail, offers the most exclusive experience. Note: From August 1, 2026, the reservation system will undergo changes.
