Beestenmarkt was historically an animal market and is now the liveliest square in Delft. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants with outdoor terraces, it offers a vibrant atmosphere especially in the evenings. The square was created after the demolition of a Franciscan monastery in 1595 and features a raised central area surrounded by trees that provide pleasant shade in summer. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a drink or meal outdoors away from the tourist crowds at the Markt.
